Caution:
Solder is melted at 800f or less. Melting solder above 800f will vaporize flux in the solder and leave a carbon / burnt on residue on the tip, known as "black tip". "black tip" is not covered by warranty. Beyond 800f is typically used with hot air / torch tips.
