Deep cycle batteries are strongly recommended for seasonal / mobility use applications : battery operated lawn mower, golf cart, golf caddy , e-scooter, car booster battery pack PDC style batteries are rated
with a 35-45% better life expectancy (estimated) than PS/PSH batteries -
yields a larger number of discharge / charge cycles .
Features:
- Dependable performance - Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology for superior performance.
- Oversize negative plates and a specialized paste formulation provide true deep cycle performance.
- Special additives in the paste ensure superior performance in deep discharge situations.
- Compact Design - Power/volume ratio yielding unrivaled energy density.
- Maintenance-Free, Non-Spillable - Proven VRLA technology offers safe operation without maintenance and ‘non-restricted article’ status for transportation.
- Rugged Construction - ABS plastic (UL94-HB) case and cover.
- Designed-In Reliability - Valve regulated, spill proof construction allows safe operation in any position.
- Cutting-edge manufacturing and process control combined with meticulous quality assurance procedures guarantee consistent and dependable performance
Batteries used for seasonal / temporary use (not year round)
: Due to the self-discharge characteristics of this type of battery, it
is imperative that charging should be done within 6 months of storage,
otherwise permanent loss of capacity might occur as a result of
sulfation (see "technical information").
Manufacturer datasheet - PDC12200 ( Adobe Reader required to read datasheet) 21.0 AH @ 20-hour rate 20.0 AH @ 10-hour rate Permanent loss of capacity (Due to sulfation) :
A battery might only be able to be charged to a reduced full capacity at
75% or less of its original capacity rating. Example :
a 21 ahr battery becomes a 15ahr battery (or less) due to sulfation (chemical reaction inside battery)
