49500WS Sn100e Water Soluble Solder Wire is an electronics grade solder wire. It uses a high-purity, eutectic 99.5% tin / 0.5% copper and cobalt alloy, complemented by a water-soluble flux core. 49500WS solder meets J-STD-004B, ASTM B 32, and exceeds J-STD-006C specifications.
This solder is a great lead-free alternative to leaded solders. In general it provides better wetting, contact angle, flow and appearance than typical Sn63/Pb37 no clean solders, while still delivering excellent performance characteristics. It offers superior solder penetration into plated through-holes and surface mount interconnects. It is a suitable replacement for SAC305 solder because it forms brighter, shinier and less-grainy joints and is also less expensive.
49500WS lead-free solder achieves a consistent solder and flux percentage thanks to our state-of-the-art extrusion wire-drawing machine, which continuously monitors the wire to prevent voids and ensure consistency, providing a top-grade solder wire.
For a no-clean SAC305 solder wire try 4900-4917. For a water-soluble Sn100e solder wire try 49500WS.
We also offer Sn60/Pb40 leaded solder wire (no-clean and RA flux core) and Sn63/Pb37 leaded solder wire (no-clean and RA-like flux core).
