Specifications Color : Black Temperature Rating : UL 510 176°F (80°C) Thickness : UL 510 30 mils (0,76 mm) Fusion : ASTM D4388, Type I Pass Tensile Strength : UL 510 300 psi (2,07 N/mm 2) Elongation : UL 510 700% Dielectric Breakdown : UL 510 600 V/mil (23.6 KV/mm) The
tape must be rubber based and capable of operating at temperatures up
to 80°C. The tape must not split or crack when exposed to normal
operating temperatures. The tape must be compatible with synthetic cable
and wire insulations. The tape shall not be corrosive to aluminum, or
copper conductors. The tape shall be 30 mils thick and comply with the
requirements of UL 510 for rubber insulating tape.
Installation Temflex
2155 tape should be applied in half-lapped layers until desired
insulation build up is reached. Stretch the tape to 3/4 of its original
width during application for good conformability and to obtain a
moisture tight seal. Temflex 2155 tape should be overwrapped for
mechanical protection with half-tapped layers of either 3M Vinyl
Electrical Tape or Temflex 1755 Cotton Friction Tape.
Shelf Life Temflex
2155 has a three-year shelf life (from date of manufacture) when stored
under the following recommended storage conditions. Store behind
present stock in a clean, dry place at a temperature of 70°F (21°C) and
40-50% relative humidity.
